Two people from Andorra were injured as a result of a head-on collision that occurred last night in Coll de Nargó between a vehicle from Andorra and another car with Spanish license plates. The driver of the Andorran car, who was seriously injured, was first taken to the hospital in La Seu d'Urgell, where he spent the night under observation. This morning, he was transferred to the Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Hospital in Andorra, where he is now in stable condition with minor injuries, according to the hospital. The frontseat passenger of the same car, a minor, was also seriously injured and was evacuated to the Vall d'Hebron hospital in Barcelona, as reported by the Catalan traffic service.
Deux personnes originaires d’Andorre ont été blessées lors d'une collision frontale survenue hier soir à Coll de Nargó entre un véhicule andorran et une voiture immatriculée en Espagne. Le conducteur de la voiture andorrane, grièvement blessé, a d’abord été transporté à l’hôpital de la Seu d’Urgell où il a passé la nuit en observation. Ce matin, il a été transféré à l’hôpital Nostra Senyora de Meritxell en Andorre, où il est désormais hospitalisé dans un état jugé léger, selon l’hôpital. La passagère avant du même véhicule, une mineure, a également été grièvement blessée et a été évacuée à l’hôpital Vall d’Hebron de Barcelone, selon le service catalan de la circulation.

The accident occurred at 9:57 PM at kilometer marker 157 of the C14 road, near the entrance to the town of Coll de Nargó. According to initial investigations by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police), the cause of the accident appears to have been the sudden appearance of a wild boar on the road. The Andorran driver, who was heading towards La Seu d'Urgell, swerved to avoid the animal, which resulted in a head-on collision with a Spanish-registered vehicle traveling in the opposite direction toward Lleida. That car was carrying six people, all of whom sustained minor or moderate injuries and were transported to Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida.
L’accident s’est produit à 21h57 au kilomètre 157 de la route C-14, près de l’entrée de la localité de Coll de Nargó. Selon les premières enquêtes des Mossos d’Esquadra(police catalane), un sanglier serait apparu soudainement sur la chaussée. Le conducteur andorran, en direction de la Seu d’Urgell, aurait tenté de l’éviter en déviant le volant, ce qui a entraîné une collision frontale avec un véhicule immatriculé en Espagne qui roulait en sens inverse vers Lleida. Les six passagers de ce véhicule ont subi des blessures légères à modérées et ont été transportés à l’hôpital Arnau de Vilanova de Lleida.
