The Comú of Sant Julià de Lòria and the Secretary of State for Transport are working together to define the route of the tramway. As the major consul of Sant Julià, Cerni Cairat, explained yesterday to Diari, the most complex points of the project are determining the location of the depots—where the tram vehicles will be stored—and a park-and-ride facility. This infrastructure should help remove cars from circulation and ease traffic, but it still needs to be decided whether the parking facility will be primarily reserved for residents or for visitors. "We hold regular meetings with the aim of refining the project," the official noted.
The Comú wants to carefully evaluate the impact of the tram on mobility in the parish
Studies on the maximum traffic capacity of the parish indicate that the CG-1 road through Sant Julià is already close to saturation, especially during peak traffic periods. For this reason, the Comú will also study in detail the potential impact of the tram route on vehicle access to and from garages, as well as on overall traffic and mobility, including pedestrian movement.

The Comú of Andorra la Vella is currently reviewing the Parish Urban Planning Plan (POUP). The three local administrations should already have submitted their route proposals
In its first phase, the segregated public transport project using a light tram should connect the parishes of Sant Julià, Andorra la Vella and Escaldes. The three Comuns were supposed to deliver their feedback on the Government's initial route proposal a week ago. The final route definition will be mapped out in the sectoral plan for segregated public transport infrastructure, a document that will be drafted by the Government. The political commitment of the Government is to have this plan ready before the end of the legislative term.
At the same time, the Government and the Government of Catalonia are studying the feasibility of a cross-border connection between Sant Julià and La Seu d'Urgell. In the future, this infrastructure would connect with the Sant Julià–Escaldes section, with a final stop at Caldea.

Le Comú d'Escaldes-Engordany a déjà répondu à la proposition de tracé du Gouvernement. La municipalité est globalement d'accord avec l'itinéraire proposé, mais elle a demandé à l'exécutif de modifier l'emplacement d'un échangeur pour des raisons techniques et de le remplacer par un autre.

Le projet de transport public séparé par tramway léger devrait relier, dans une première phase, les paroisses de Sant Julià, Andorra la Vella et Escaldes. Les trois comuns auraient dû transmettre leur retour sur la proposition initiale du Gouvernement il y a une semaine. La définition du tracé sera intégrée dans le plan sectoriel des infrastructures de transport public séparé, un document qui devra être élaboré par le Gouvernement. L'engagement politique de l'exécutif est de disposer de ce plan avant la fin de la législature.
Parallèlement, le Gouvernement et la Generalitat de Catalogne analysent la faisabilité d'une connexion transfrontalière entre Sant Julià et La Seu d'Urgell. Cette infrastructure devrait, à l'avenir, être reliée au tronçon Sant Julià–Escaldes, avec un terminus à Caldea.
